This edition's disc says, in all caps, "Made in Japan by Sanyo". It was released sometime after late 1984, when Sanyo started pressing CDs.

A sampler of pieces made during the 1970's and early 1980's at the CCRMA Center at Stanford University, and a series of test tones for CD players.
