in 1991 Frank Macchia created an album that was voted one of the top ten Bay Area albums of the year by San Francisco newspaper music critic Larry Kelp. This was an extension of the 10 piece "Frankie Maximum Band" that was performing around the San Francisco Bay Area from 1989-1992, augmented by several more horn players. A tongue-in-cheek set of jazz reditions of classic Cowboy and Americana songs, done with a lot of energy.
